Alex Warren joined YouTube in 2014 and started posting regular vlogs by 2015. He also started posting on TikTok in 2016. His videos pretty much consisted of comedic sketches, dances, vlogs featuring a variety of topics and much more.
Slowly but steadily, he gained popularity, enough to co-create the TikTok collective “The Hype House”, along with Chase Hudson a.k.a Lil Huddy, Thomas Petrou and his girlfriend Kouvr Annon. The group became famous for creating content while living in a $5 million mansion.
During his tenure at the Hype House, there was a massive controversy. In July 2020, Hype House member Nikita Dragun had hosted a birthday party for fellow member Larray, violating the state of California’s Covid-19 regulations. This was at the time when cases were at their peak in the state. While the members tested negative for Covid-19, their social media posts about the event drew massive criticism from the public, during the time when a majority of the public were following the restrictions and rules. They later apologised for conducting the event.
In 2022, Warren and Ammon left the Hype House, citing that it was important for them to focus on themselves as well as their content.
As of 2022, Warren continues to collaborate with Charlie D’Amelio, as well as with YouTuber Tana Mongeau.
According to media reports, he earns over $280,000 in a year, and charges $15,000 for every sponsored post on TikTok. According to Social Blade, his monthly income from YouTube is stated to be around $6,600.
Alex also sells his own merchandise, which is available on alex warren.creator-spring.com. It includes hoodies and t-shirts. He is also one of the founders of Fanjoy, on which many other internet personalities sell their merchandise. From these two websites, he earns approximately upwards of $10,000 a month, according to media reports.
In 2022, he became a cast member of Netflix’s Hype House reality TV series. The series received mixed reviews from critics and even the common public.
Other than social media, he has now started creating his own music, releasing several singles from 2020 to the present. They include:
