Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have a really ‘solid’ relationship and the singer is obviously very happy about that. After all, she was married before and things with her former husband, Russell Brand did not go nearly as great, which is obviously why they ended up divorcing!
But the previous, ‘friction’ filled marriage with Brand only made Perry appreciate what she has with her actor fiancé even more!
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom now share a baby girl together, named Daisy, and they are seemingly blissfully happy and in love.
With that being said, it appears that Orlando is and has given Katy everything she’s ever wanted from a relationship.
During a new interview for 60 Minutes Australia, Katy Perry opened up about her previous marriage, her current relationship and more!
That being said, she admitted that what she had with Russell Brand ‘was the first kind of breaking of my idealistic . I was having success at 23, 24 and 25 and I met someone that was interesting and very stimulating. It was like a tornado. Everything happening all at once.’
Indeed, the two did some flirting at the MTV VMAs back in 2009 and only four months later, Russell asked her to marry him during their India trip!
The singer went on to say that: ‘I have always resonated with friction, resistance and challenges. I know that inherently that ‘ooh, it is going to take a lot of work but we are going to get somewhere great. Or it is going to be a beautiful diamond. All of this pressure is going to be a beautiful diamond.’
Unfortunately, it did not happen and the two were even kept apart by their successful careers for most of their short-lived marriage.

Her relationship with Orlando, on the other hand, is a ‘healthy, frictional, open, communicative nothing’s swept under the mat type of relationship.’
